Installation Steps
Step 1
- Hold the channel ½” from the stationary side of the fence at your desired height.
- Secure it by inserting hex screws into the top and bottom holes.
Step 2
- On the swinging gate side, insert the latch arm into the channel about 2–3″ below the channel’s center.
- Ensure it’s level and in its resting position.
- Secure it using hex screws in the 3 holes on the latch arm.
Step 3
- Place the striker bar on the same side as the latch arm. Position it either above or below the arm (whichever doesn’t interfere with the channel).
- Attach to the Gate Door using x2 hex screws.
- This keeps the gate from swinging loosely and holds it securely against the fence.
Step 4
Optional – To enable 2-sided access
- Raise the latch arm so it can fall back into the channel, but still clear it when opened.
- Drill a ¼” hole 1″ above the top plate of the latch (aligned with the center hex bolt).
- Loosen the clamp on the cable, thread the cable through the holes on the latch arm, then retighten the clamp.
- Thread the other end through the ¼” hole.
Step 5
- On the opposite side of the gate, using x2 Phillips screws, attach the handle in a convenient spot for opening, below the cable’s path.
